2008 Concert - June event

 Concert with Ludwig Treviranus 

and with the Faultline Chorus.

Brief commentary.

 The afternoon concert featured a movement from each of three different Beethoven pieces, the 7th and 9th symphonies, and after the interval, the first movement of the 5th piano concerto, featuring Ludwig Treviranus who delighted the audience as on previous occasions.

Faultline Chorus sang barbershop, ending the first half, then more extensively in the second.  Faultline are an all-female chorus (Sweet Adelines) based in Petone. The multipart, unaccompanied singing was an effective contrast to the orchestral works. The afternoon closed with both chorus and orchestra together.
