Overview
As a first for HVO, the Symphony Workshop weekend included a Choral Workshop. The chosen work was Beethoven's mighty Symphony no 9 - the Choral Symphony. The Orchestra and Choir rehearsed separately with sectional tutoring on the Saturday. On the Sunday, the massed forces came together and the result of the tutoring from the singers and NZSO players was a thrilling finale performance Sunday afternoon. Players and singers from around the Wellington region and as far afield as Christchurch and Auckland came to be part of this experience.Photos from the weekend.
