Our venue for this concert was Hutt City Church.

The festive decorations added to the party atmosphere as we continued with a mix of classics such as Prokofiev's "Troika" from Lieutenant Kije and the Strauss "Tritsch Tratsch Polka", the popular highlights from "Harry Potter" and "Star Wars"  and a sing-a-long Christmas Carol.

Toys to left

After the interval we were delighted to welcome seven children as soloists in the Toy Symphony.

Here we see the nightingale, quail and triangle in action.

More great performances by the children. Here you can see where the sound of that cuckoo was coming from.

The other instruments played were drum, trumpet, and rattle.

  Trumpet neigh!

More Christmas carols followed, plus Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride". Here we see the the high point of its finale - the conductor turning and playing a whinny to signify the sleigh is back home.

The concert concluded with a fun medley from "Pirates of the Caribbean".
